How we compare casinos like Stake: one row of the table, filled in front of you
Method
Every row in our comparison of 20 casinos like Stake has 5 cells. Rather than describe a method in the abstract, this page fills in one row, Stake’s own, cell by cell: where each figure came from, which cell stays empty, and why.
The row
| Casino | Licence in the register | Why it is like Stake | When documents are asked | Welcome offer |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Stake | Curaçao GA, OGL/2024/1451/0918, Active | The benchmark: originals, sportsbook, 100 studios | Withdrawals require verification (4.8) | — |
5 cells, 4 filled, 1 dash. Each cell has its own source and its own date, and the sections below take them in order, left to right, the way we build every row in the comparison.
Cell 1: the licence
We open the regulator’s own record, never the casino’s footer. For Curaçao that is the Gaming Authority’s certificate portal at cert.cga.cw; for Anjouan, the public licence register. We copy 4 things: the number, the holder, the status and the date we looked. Stake’s record showed OGL/2024/1451/0918, Medium Rare N.V., Active, on 26 August 2026, and the same again on 31 August.
A status is printed as the register writes it. BC.Game’s record says Revoked, so our table says Revoked, however well known the brand. An expired Anjouan term, like Empire.io’s, is shown with its date.
Cell 2: why it is like Stake
This cell comes from the casino’s own lobby: whether it runs in-house originals, whether the sportsbook shares the wallet, how many studios its provider list links, and whether the cashier is crypto. For Stake that reads originals, sportsbook and about 100 studios. For a casino to join the list at all, it has to match Stake on at least 2 of the 3 things people mean by like Stake: originals, sports in the same account and a crypto cashier.
Cell 3: when documents are asked
We quote the casino’s own terms, with the clause number, because the number lets you find the sentence yourself. Stake’s is clause 4.8. Where we have put our own money through a casino, the result goes beside the clause, with the date. That has happened twice: TrustDice in May 2026, and Vave on 28 August 2026. Every other entry is a written rule, and it says so.
Cell 4: the dash
Stake’s welcome offer cell is a dash. Review sites report a 200% match up to $2,000 at 40× wagering, but the Stake.com terms we read carry no offer, so the comparison table leaves the cell empty and the review marks the figure as reported. A dash on this site always means our documents give no figure; it never means zero.
The order of the list
It is also one of the two casinos we have tested with our own money. After Vave, casinos follow in order of how closely they match what people come to Stake for, and Stake itself is the last row, so every casino can be read against it.
Dates, and the reading log
Every figure carries the date it was read, because operators change their pages without version numbers. The log for the Stake.us documents and the two state laws looks like this:
| Document | What happened when it was asked for |
|---|---|
| The Stake.us help centre, help.stake.us | Opened. Nine articles read and quoted on this page |
| stake.us itself, including its policy paths | The server answered 403 to this site. That is a refusal to us and proof of nothing else |
| The Stake.com terms of service | The connection was refused before a page came back |
| The Pulsz Terms of Use | Opened and read through, clause numbers and all |
| The Chumba Casino terms of use | The site redirected to a page of its own named geo-block |
| California Assembly Bill 831, on the legislature's own site | Opened. Chapter number, code section, definitions and penalty read |
| New York Senate Bill S5935A, on the Senate's own site | Opened. Chapter number, definition and penalty range read |
| The Montana, New Jersey, Connecticut and Louisiana legislature sites | No answer at all. Their bills are therefore named nowhere on this site |
A refusal is recorded as a refusal. A 403 or a closed connection tells us where we were standing when we asked, and nothing about the operator or its players.
Sources we leave out
Casino review aggregators and user-review sites are left out as sources for any figure. Where we repeat a number that only review sites carry, like Stake’s welcome offer, it is marked as reported. The people behind the comparison, and the two money tests, are on about us. The finished table is on Stake alternatives.
